Nutella…who doesn’t like a sweet chocolate concoction with a roasted hazelnut flavour?! If it was only healthy or at least organic. We tried to locate one with no luck so far. In the meanwhile, you can whip up a healthy Nutella smoothie that tastes almost like Nutella. And it is super filling too.

Raw shelled hemp seeds and almond butter add essential healthy fats that prevent us from gaining weight. The days when fat was believed to make us fat are over. In fact, it helps us to stay our normal selves by keeping our stomachs full longer.

We didn’t use honey or maple syrup but rather a few Medjool dates in our healthy Nutella Smoothie. They add sweetness and fibre thus preventing your blood sugar rising rapidly. Fibre in fruits makes them best nature’s candy, guilt-free. You could also use smaller dates, just use a few more.

Healthy Nutella Smoothie




1 1/2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
1/2 cup hazelnuts, raw
4 Medjool dates, pitted
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp hemp hearts or coconut oil
1 tbsp almond butter (optional)


In a blender, combine all ingredients and process for 4-5 minutes or until smooth. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day.
